I wish I had more time to work on this. Of course I have to find out about the contest 3 days before the deadline.

I wanted to paint a picture of Barnabas as a vampire (those fingers!) in the present day but trying to evoke a feeling of a traditional portrait. From the trailer it seemed like he was not afraid to let the family know that he was a vampire and I tried to keep some of that feeling in, like he was proud of who he was.

Might update this if I have time tomorrow before the deadline.

I bow to your excellence in the depiction of Mr. Depp by firelight. The orange-red lights upon his neck, shoulder, and the side of his face, and he shadows face forward are done to perfection. This is brilliantly realized. I admire the lacy quality of his cuff.
The white highlights upon his cheek and hands present an atmosphere akin to moonlight shining through a window. This is excellent.

The lighting in this is really awesome...backlit by a fireplace? So cool. Also love how his face is somewhat hidden in shadow, gives it a creepier feel. Those hands are amazing, what detail!
